about

The reigning defending undisputed champions of Noise Pop are back. Hot on the heels of the success of 'The Yips' which received support from KEXP and Canada's The Edge, who labeled them a "hidden gem" , Captain Frederickson return on August 18th after spending some time 'Drinking Tea & Watching Cricket'.

Once again they are tackling the hard hitting subjects like only they can. Like the true story of a stepladder that was mistaken for a new McDonalds. Over a ripsaw bass line they raise awareness of the dangers of coconuts. A Swan Can Break Your Arm is a heartfelt honest take on the joys (and not -joys) or parenting.

There is also the heartbreaking tale of a divorced father, who faced with the prospect of losing custody of his kids, does what any sane person would do in his position and dresses up as an elderly British lady and applies to be their nanny.

Upcoming single 'Nick's Online Girlfriend' discusses the heartache of catfishing,an off-kilter narrative verse explodes into a chorus that has a guitar tones to live for and creates a classic pixies-esque quiet-loud-quiet dynamic.

But wait somehow there is still more. A darts legend who ( much like CF) refuses to ever sell out, is honored in a post punk meets synths scorcher. Then we give a nod to the British pancake day tradition of 'slapping the tower'

Finally things close out one of CF's most unique songs yet. A rolling bass and horns groove about the power of nostalgia in ' Nice to see you, to see you nice'.

So the only thing left to say is 'Do The Know Our Name Yet?'
